Designed and published weekly bulletins, e-newsletters, in-house reports, and press releases with information and photographic images that I gathered from the organization's Prison Program Director, email correspondence received from Prison Chaplains, letters from prisoners and their families.
Through a dynamic and targeted media campaign for The Aleph Institute's Rabbinical summer visitation program, journalists across the country were able to go inside Federal & State prisons to report on the organization's programs and services.
National headlines publicized the organization's programs, and for the first time in the organization's 25-year history, television crews broadcast live from inside prisons around the country.
National Media Coverage, Rabbinical Visits to Jews in Prison nationwide
The press release, below, was customized to include the date and time of the Rabbinical visits, with the name and address of each prison to match media demographics in multiple cities within 37 states.
For journalists to accompany the Rabbinical students inside the prisons, I coordinated with the National Bureau of Prisons Publicity Affairs Department for authorization in all states.
The result: unprecedented media coverage that the organization was able to use in multiple print article and online mediums that I created for fundraising, Board presentations, online media, and donor recognition programs.
